The Northwest Ohio Manufacturing Forum, Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn French Quarter, Perrysburg, Ohio, is designed to provide information and resources available to companies for continued growth.
 
Manufacturers, service providers, economic development professionals, and educators are encouraged to attend. Guests will:
• Hear from successful industry leaders
• Learn how to manage workforce and increase profits
• Learn about resources to assist manufacturing needs.
U.S. Senator Rob Portman will speak during the luncheon. He was elected in 2010, running a campaign that focused on common-sense conservative ideas to help create jobs and get the deficit under control.
 
Also on the agenda, Dr. Jim West, project manager for the 787 program at the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group in Seattle, has more than 36 years of advanced and emerging technology experience in manufacturing planning systems. His knowledge in the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) system will be also highlighted at the Forum. Rich Spivey of the Ohio Manufacturing Institute at The Ohio State University will highlight Ohio resources for innovation advancement.
