About

Jim Samuel founded Capitol Integrity Group, Ltd. more than a decade ago as a strategic policy development and communications consultancy whose clients include public and private corporations, government agencies, institutions of higher education, business associations and non-profit entities. He provides clients with strategic guidance, cultivated resources, and a comprehensive approach focused on issue management, public perception and political forces.

His unique insight and knowledge of complex governmental and business structures resulted from serving in executive management positions at five cabinet-level agencies during two Ohio Governor administrations. He has served as a key policy strategist, chief spokesman, principal legislative agent and crisis coordinator.

Samuel is a fellow of Cleveland State University’s Levin College of Urban Affairs Energy Policy Center and a fellow of the Ohio Manufacturing Institute at The Ohio State University. He served as a co-author of Driving Ohio’s Prosperity, a strategy document for Ohio’s automotive and advanced manufacturing sector. He was an advisor on An Analysis of The Economic Potential for Shale Formations in Ohio and is a contributing writer for Crain's Cleveland Business energy report. He is a member and past vice-chair of the Columbus Chamber's Government Affairs Steering Committee and a member of the Nemacolin Energy Institute board of directors. He was appointed to the Clean Ohio Council by Governor John Kasich in 2012, and previously served as vice president of Compete Columbus.

He is a graduate from The Ohio State University with a degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences.
