About

Blaine Lilly, PhD, is an Associate Professor holding a joint appointment in the departments of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Integrated Systems Engineering. He also holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of Industrial, Interior, and Visual Communication Design. He has taught courses in mechanical design, manufacturing, and product design engineering at Ohio State, and in 2006 was awarded the OSU Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching. His research interests are in the general area of innovative product design, particularly how complex systems theory applies to modeling how products survive and evolve in the marketplace.

Lilly is the chair of the university Council on Academic Affairs. He serves as co-PI on the LIFT OMIC co-located internship program.
